About Lorne:

Lorne has been racing cars and motorcycles for the past 30 years.

At the age of 13, Lorne began racing motocross a regional tracks close to his small hometown in New Brunswick and by the age of 21 was racing at the Pro level across Canada.  At 24, Lorne evolved  from motocross to a road racing.  In his second season, Lorne won Two Canadian National Road Racing Titles.

Following this championship winning season Lorne moved to the US and raced three years in the AMA Superbike Series and Formula Extreme Series where he earned a best result of 9th at Daytona in 1995 and was named Top Privateer of the Year.  By the time Lorne switched venues and began racing cars, in 1997, he had raced every road racing circuit in the US, on a motorcycle.  

Lorne's car racing career began with racing Dwarf Cars on small oval tracks throughout Indiana.  In his rookie season, Lorne became National Champion at an event held in Indianapolis.  This recognition earned him a seat in a 410 Non Wing USAC Sprint Car for the 1998 season. After some regional success in this car, Lorne earned a two year ride competing in the West Coast SCRA 410 Non Wing Sprint Car series.  In 2001, Lorne received his NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series license and ran limited races.

Concurrent to his switch from motorcycle racing to car racing in 1997, Lorne sent out inquiries to several motorcycle and car racing schools and soon had offers from several nationally recognized facilities. 

Lorne had taught for Skip Barber, BMW (both car and motorcycle schools), Penske Racing, various automobile manufactures training schools and numerous winter driving schools before joining the Porsche team in 2008. 

In addition to teaching racing schools for Porsche, Lorne also facilitates for several US government agencies, namely Navy Seals, Special Forces, and FBI as well as for various foreign government organizations on high speed driving techniques and anti-terrorist driving maneuvers.  

Lorne holds a BA in Automotive Marketing.  He has owned and operated Multi Line Marketing Inc. and Banks Racing Inc. for the past several years.  These days when he is not teaching he can be found racing motocross at a local track and out dirt bike riding with his buddies.
